Remember

When was the last time you were really scared? I mean REEEEALLY scared. Can you remember when you were so afraid, it suddenly seemed possible for the walls to melt around you and let through some horrible, gibbering nightmare? It's been quite some time since I've felt that fear that strips away all sense of human superiority and leaves you a shivering little animal child. I MISS THAT. Now when I have bad dreams my subconscious self just sits back in a director's chair of sorts and just thinks, "NEAT!" I wake up with nice ideas, but never in a cold sweat. I am not a fan of ignorance, but I worship open an open mind, and, like it or not both were a huge part of the package of beinf a little kid. One night, my brother and I were home alone, when the phone rang. A prank caller whispered to me "Something is trying to get into your house" and hung up. I couldn't go back to bed, so I tried getting help from my brother, who refused to the idea of SOMETHING TRYING TO GET IN. I left him to his sleep and took his baseball bat back to my room. JUST THEN, my sister decided to come home from a night out with friends, though of course, to me, she was THE THING. I heard IT opening the door, and full of dread, I waited next to my bedroom door, bat raised high to do some panic filled damage. Well, I didn't kill her, but almost gave myself a heart attack.

But the FEELING of what I hought I was ready to do was just... INCREDIBLE. I was completely ready to see some wonderful nightmare creature and bash his head in.

Ah, well... there's always tomorrow.
